Budapest Ferihegy Airport is located in the Heart of Central Europe, where East and West meet. This summer the Hungarian Railway Company and the Government completed the railway link between the Western railway station in Budapest and Terminal 1. As a result, the airport is accessible from the city in 25 minutes at an affordable price.
Budapest Airport also offers a variety of more than 50 shops, restaurants and bars, providing that Ferihegy is not just an airport but a passenger experience as well.

Therefore, Budapest Airport and its new owners, led by HOCHTIEF AirPort, which also operates Athens International Airport, Düsseldorf International, Hamburg Airport, Sydney Airport and Tirana International Airport, initiated an extensive programme of expansion and modernisation, which will involve construction investments in excess of €261 million up to 2011. It will increase the airport’s capacity and improve customer services as well, to give a great welcome to passengers.
