Duna Art Ensemble, formed in 1957, actually consists of 24 professional dancers and 5 musicians. The main aim of Duna Art Ensemble is to arouse interest of a wider audience in folk dances, to break the stereotypes associated with this genre of performing art and to prove its diversity and artistic expressiveness. The repertoire of Duna Art Ensemble consists of dynamic, modern interpretations of Hungarian folk dances as well as children’s performances invoking elements of folk dances, furthermore dance theatre productions melt of contemporary dance and folk dance.
